Dr. Nico and Dr. Pega met in dental school, long before either of them imagined running a practice together. Dr. Nico found his path in healthcare through a love of hands-on, clinical work. Dr. Pega’s came a little later, sparked by shadowing her cousin, a practicing dentist, and knowing by day one that dentistry was it for her.
That shared decision eventually led them to owning a practice of their own, one where they’d have real say over patient care, materials, and how their team operates. Taking over an established Mechanicsville practice gave them that autonomy, rooted in a community they wanted to be part of for the long run.
At Bell Creek Dentistry, every patient sees photos of their own teeth before and after any procedure. Instead of trying to interpret shadows on an X-ray, you see exactly what we see and why we're recommending the treatment we're recommending.

Dr. Pega Hajian was born and raised in Southern California and earned her undergraduate degree from UC Irvine before completing her dental training and General Practice Residency at UCLA. She chose dentistry because it combines her love of science, hands-on work, and creativity, and she's passionate about making every patient feel comfortable and cared for, whether they need routine care, pain relief, or a smile improvement. Outside the office, she loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Kiki, as well as going to the beach, reading, and exploring Richmond with her family.

Dr. Nico Salavaggione was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to the United States with his family at age ten. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from The Ohio State University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Nico specializes in endodontics, oral surgery, and implant dentistry, and he stays current through continuing education. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their chihuahua, Kiki, as well as cooking, watching football, traveling, and staying active through weightlifting and water polo.
